Since it launched into the market in 2015, Adobe Stock made it clear they were a strong player in the stock photo industry, and they have proved it with constant updates and developments to their offer. And they did it again! The latest Adobe Stock update released yesterday comes with a new set of features and partnerships aimed at easing your workflow when using stock images and putting the best possible content at your fingertips.

Introducing a new search tool in the form of advanced image filters powered by Adobe Sensei, new first class content in both Editorial and Premium commercial collections from existing and new partners, and even a new Adobe Stock Add-In for Powerpoint that promises to help you create stunning presentations in less time!

Stay up to date with what Adobe Stock has to offer for creatives, reading all the details of this update, next.

Aesthetic Filters: Expanding Image Search Capabilities

One of the fronts Adobe Stock focuses when it comes to customer service is that of image search. The company is well aware that searching and finding the right images for every project is not only one of the most important parts of any creative's workflow, but also one that needs to be easily and quickly done.

With this in mind, last year they introduced a major upgrade that included the addition of an artificial intelligence based technology for visual search, image analysis and intelligent tagging. The combination enables you to find the images to go with your vision easier, by delivering more accurate results in less time. You can learn more about this in my exclusive interview with Adobe Stock's Zeke Koch at Photokina 2016.

Now they are pushing this further with the inclusion of Aesthetic Filters. Powered by Adobe Sensei technology, these new search filters let you sort your results based on aesthetics characteristics. This function was launched in beta yesterday, and for now it filters by Depth of Field and Vivid Color. Using a simple dragging intensity bar, you can easily filter your search results by any of these two parameters, until you get the exact look you were after!

Powerful Editorial Collection: Reuters and USA Today Partnerships

Just as announced last year, Adobe Stock has partnered with internationally renowned news agency Reuters to bring first-class editorial imagery for creatives using the stock service. This agreement is now live, with Reuters adding to Adobe Stock's 90 million assets library.

Announced yesterday, a new distribution deal with USA Today Sports also introduces great sports related content to the collection.

Like this, Adobe Stock makes it easier to find buzzworthy and high quality imagery on current news, sports, entertainment and lifestyle, to use in your editorial purposes.

New Premium Content Addition: Stocksy

Of course Adobe Stock would never neglect their commercial-ready collection of Royalty Free images, and bringing top quality imagery from the best suppliers around is one of their main goals. They showed that earlier this year when they welcomed 500px and Pond5 content into their library.

And now they once again reaffirm their focus in developing a high-end photo service for creatives, by teaming up with select, artistic and popular stock photo agency Stocksy United. Known for their distinct, artsy and thoughtfully selected aesthetics, and their intentionally reduced, exclusive group of contributing photographers, Stocksy has very powerful and commercially valuable images. As of now, the exclusive Stocksy collection is available in Adobe Stock Premium library, giving you access to unique high quality imagery right within your design apps.

Adobe Stock Add-In for PowerPoint: Higher Functionality for Creative Workflows

The full integration with Creative Cloud remains one of the strongest points in Adobe Stock's offer. But now the company is taking the sales at point of use model further, by extending their integrations beyond the Adobe platform.

The new free Add-In for Microsoft PowerPoint lets you access the service's massive library of images directly from the presentation designer tool. Applying their intelligent search functionality, it lets you search, find and apply great photos to your projects and presentations in a few simple clicks. A very easy way to create visually appealing material for your business in a sleek workflow. And you can download it for free!
